I will speak in the first person for this
one, as the story begins with me, Emily..later to be known
as Stamping Bella. I am a mother of two and had a very corporate
career. I never ever knew I had an artistic side at all. After
the birth of my first child, my son, I was pulled back into
the corporate world within two months of his birth. After
approximately 3 years, and the birth of my daughter, I decided
to take a break from the corporate world and discovered my
local scrapbook/stamping store. I found my ‘calling’
and recalled how much I loved stamps as a child. I was determined
and found the first stamp I purchased when I was 8 years old!
When I first visited my local store, I was surrounded by stamps,
ink, beautiful paper, embellishments, etc.. I re-realized
that this was what heaven was. I dove deeper into this and
decided to take a stamping class. Well, everyone that was
the beginning of the end. Can you all sympathize? I think
you can.
I met my mentor, Nicky Manel, who became more than a mentor
but a very very close friend. You readers are probably saying
‘enough already’ but no, I have to acknowledge
those who have taken me on this journey and supported me along
the way.. so keep reading!
Nicky introduced me to this stamping world, has cost me
a fortune, has taught me to do ‘creative accounting’
with my husband.. has taught me to hide bags in the car until
he goes to sleep.. can you all sympathize yet? I think so!
I have since met and become a part of one of the best stamping
groups around. I have to mention them.. sorry! We have Nicky,
Hannah, Donna, Irene, Michelle, Tonie, Natanya, and
Dina. These ladies are a talented bunch who have always
supported me and inspired me with all of their spectacular
cards.
I must also thank Dianne and Lisa for really being there
for me 100% and representing me in the best way possible!
OK.. I am almost done. My husband and children.. Thanking my husband for supporting my ‘creative accounting’, casting a blind eye to it, dealing with tons of rubber covering our house, and my late nights working as well as my decision to delve into this business. And my little boy who puts a smile on my face every time he says “all mommy does is cut cut cut!”
OK. I am done. Now can you please start shopping?
